Receiving Delegation for Out-of-Scope Procedures

Our team of nurse practitioners and medical doctors can delegate procedures outside ND scope of practice to naturopaths with the assurance that their patients will receive expert care. We provide CME approved training as a prerequisite for you to be able to receive delegation for the therapy or procedure. The provider your patient is referred to at ONIN will carefully review the referral and, if appropriate, delegate it to you as a competent delegates so the patient can receive the care they need, from the provider they trust. How It Works

Apply for the Premium Membership with ONIN

Join the Premium level membership with ONIN by completing our application form that asks for important details like professional regulatory status, extended services you are authorized to provide (e.g. prescribing and intravenous infusion therapy), and the status of your practice location (e.g. licensed to provide intravenous infusion therapy by CONO). This ensures that you meet the requirements to be a part of the premium membership and can accept delegation from our provider network.

Complete Training

Explore a diverse set of training that can leverage your naturopathic expertise to deliver innovative care
to your patients. By completing CME approved training you can establish you are competent to deliver the delegated procedure in accordance with standard operating procedures (provided to ONIN premium members). You are now ready to refer patients for evaluation of appropriateness for the delegated
procedures.

Streamlined Referral Process

Our platform facilitates a seamless referral process, making it easy for NDs like you to refer a patient to our provider team for consideration of a procedure/therapy outside your scope as a naturopathic doctor in Ontario. Sign up for OceanMD our fully compliant online e-referral tool that will allow full transparency for you and your patient in the referral process. You and your patient will know when the referral was made, when they have been booked and receive documentation once the referral consult is complete.
